Congratulations on writing your book! We know that this was a labor of love and dedication and you should be so proud of your accomplishment!
While we are mainly a used bookstore, we have a limited amount of shelf space reserved for new (meaning not used) books, as well as limited shelf space reserved specifically for local authors. If you are interested in having us consider your book for our store, please read this first:
If you are traditionally published and/or available on Ingram or IngramSpark:
1. Book information should be sent by email. We are unable to accommodate walk-in visits without an appointment or telephone inquiries as when our doors are open, we’re focused on helping customers, pricing and shelving books, and other day-to-day activities.
2. When emailing us information about your book please include your name, where you live, your email address, the book title, publication date, the ISBN, a link to a website with info about your book, your Facebook and TikTok handles, what your local target audience will be, and how you plan to promote your book if we stock it at Books on Main.
3. If we decide to stock your book, we will purchase your books through Ingram or the press/publisher if possible.
4. Send the above information to booksonmain301@gmail.com. Please allow us 2-4 weeks to review before following up via email.

We get many requests to carry self-published and traditionally-published books in our store. We only have so much shelf-space and our bookstore (and our customers) aren’t the best match for every author. We know that each author pours his/her/their heart and soul into his/her/their work and we wish we could take in every book. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case and we ask that authors understand our limitations.
EVENTS
If you have a book that is going to be published, please email a request to booksonmain301@gmail.com with information about the book, its release date, and why you think it would be a successful event in our store. Please allow 2-4 weeks for a response before following up via email.
If your book has already been released and you'd like to partner with us for a community event, please send us an email detailing what sort of event you'd like to have, why you think the event would be successful in our store, and what support you would need from the store in terms of logistics (supplies, marketing, etc done by you vs done by the store).
